DA: Vast Collection of Crucified Women pt.1

Journal Entry: Mon Feb 25, 2008, 5:30 PM
Well, it's no secret that my field of interests is about female crucifixion. Not really based on the religious symbolism (but on the other hand unable to disregard the "Christ stuff") this Page is devoted to the erotic aspects of crucifixion.
As a friend of a this quite unnormal - some might call it twisted - topic i am surprised about the vast number of deviations picking up the crux theme. Now it's time for me to separate the wheat from the chaff, of course in my subjective opinion. So in this journal i try to list some of the more impressing pieces of female crucifixion art.
But of course you can explore more crux art in my collection of favourites. Enjoy!

Part 1: Drawings and Paintings

"Feminine Savior" [link] by Eshto [link]
Sophistically drawn, this piece of art shows woman being proud and self-assured but yet doomed to oppression before crucifixion. Really thrilling.

"Cruckafix of OZ 5" [link] by kajusx [link]
Don't miss the complete alternative ending of the "Wizard of Oz" in kajusx's Gallery. It's definitely the better ending in my eyes.

"She Is So Christ II" [link] by Rotenapels [link]
Yet another "Jesus was a girl"-speculation. But one with a great expression in the facial detail.

"Dynosawrz" [link] by AgentsyrK [link]
The first time i saw this drawing i was like "Bah, a pregnant crucified? Horrible and disgusting idea!"
But i think there's a message about the pain while being pregnant and bearing children as well as being mother. Could't that be seen as a crucifixion as well? Hmm, anyway it's well done.

"Female crucifixtion" [link] by win1soon [link]
Colorful, very sexy painting of the female body shape. It's not sad at all that you can't see the full body crucified.

"Rising Soul" [link] by crazy-david [link]
Kinda distorted painting, but very erotic.

"Desperate hell" [link] by moyao [link]
This picture is based on a photograph that whirrs around in the downs of the WWW. I like the colors and the turned away face of the victim.

"Self-Portrait Caravaggio work" [link] by DragonTU84 [link]
Wow, what problems does a girl have, when she lets her crucify by her own father in imagination? Anyway it's technically well done and the old Caravaggio gets a new point.

"where is your god" [link] by sivlillian [link]
Simple drawing with good use of color. Beautiful.

"Time to Think" [link] by Mr-Moonlight [link]
I think it's great. Simply.

"Inverted Cross" [link] by freakinacage666 [link]
A different kind of crucifixion. But all in all beautiful in its ruthlessness.

"crucified perfection" [link] by AnthraxBaby [link]
Classic crucifixion pose and roughly done drawing. Cool sexy victim.

"'The Black Flag: Phase 3' 5" [link] by Lord-Retsudo [link]
Whoa. Very graphic ;-)

"crucified woman" [link] by ~srta84 [link]
Does she sleep on the ground or did she lose her consciousness hanging for hours? Don't know, but she's gorgeous. Please dear artist, tear of that loincloth!

"nailed to a cross together 1" [link] by ~chibikoneko82 [link]
Ok, that's physically impossible. But i hope they enjoy their time "sticking" together...

"This Life Imperfect" [link] by =raevynewings [link]
That would be a perfect tattoo design. Any volunteers?

"Sacrilege" [link] by gabrielle-1985 [link]
Great macabre situation. The victim is really beautiful.

"Daydream" [link] by capitanmontressor [link]
Just a new drawing arrived. And it's a brilliant one!

Not sure about the erotic side of my image, but thanks for the advertising. Only been up a few hours and already 2 pieces have been faved.
~FiNiHSeR:iconFiNiHSeR: Mar 5, 2008, 2:15:03 AM
Thank you for the warm comment. Pointing to the technical issues i can only say that nobody really knows how crucifixion usually was done. My work is only an interpretation. Or as a friend of mine and also a crux enthusiast frequently misquotes a "Superman" speech: "This is fantasy, careless product of wild imagination!"

... I think you've done an excellent job (in the right spirit) of balancing the beauty and horror of crucifixion...
... It is a sad & tragic fact that many women & children have bravely suffered this fate thru-out history, & in some regions still do...
... My only technical criticism would be that the feet were usually spiked thru the achilles interspace, a convenient & easy mount.
